Rafiyev: Azerbaijan and CAR will hold negotiations on establishing diplomatic relations in autumn
Azerbaijan plans to begin negotiations with the Central African Republic this autumn to establish diplomatic relations.
As Report informs, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Yalchin Rafiyev stated this at an event dedicated to Africa Day 2026: "A Rising Continent, New Partnerships."
Speaking about the dynamics of relations, Rafiyev recalled that since last year, Azerbaijan has held 12 political consultations with African countries.
"Five governmental missions were organized with the participation of interagency delegations of the republic. Today, Azerbaijan has diplomatic relations with all African countries except one - the Central African Republic, with which we plan to begin the relevant negotiations as early as September," the deputy minister said.
