Presidents of Azerbaijan and Slovenia Exchange Letters

President of the Republic of Slovenia Nataša Pirc Musar sent a congratulatory letter to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the message states:

"To the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan His Excellency Mr. Ilham Aliyev

Your Excellency.

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Slovenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, please accept my sincere congratulations, wishes for continued success, happiness and well-being to the people of Azerbaijan.

I note with great satisfaction that over the past three decades, friendly relations and constructive ties between Slovenia and Azerbaijan, both in bilateral and multilateral formats, have developed on the basis of mutual respect, trust and shared commitment to cooperation. I am confident that relations between our countries will continue to successfully deepen and expand in areas of mutual interest, particularly in the spheres of economy, energy security, development of new technologies, and friendly ties between our peoples will strengthen.

Our joint efforts to promote international peace and security, support sustainable development and combat climate change demonstrate our commitment to addressing global challenges through collective action. We will continue cooperation within international organizations to promote mutual understanding, stability and peace.

Your Excellency, please accept my highest respect."

In turn, the head of our state sent her a response congratulatory letter.

"Dear Madam President,

On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I extend to you and your people sincere congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Slovenia.

The relations of friendship and cooperation connecting our countries and peoples are important to us. It is gratifying that over the past thirty years our bilateral relations have strengthened, and mutually beneficial cooperation in various areas of mutual interest has steadily developed.

I believe that, utilizing the existing opportunities for the benefit of our peoples, we will continue to make joint efforts on the path of developing and expanding Azerbaijani-Slovenian friendly relations and partnership both on a bilateral basis and within the framework of the European Union.

Taking this opportunity, I wish you good health, happiness, success in your endeavors, and to the friendly people of Slovenia - lasting well-being and prosperity," the message states.
