As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by President Ilham Aliyev in an interview with Euronews television channel.
Noting that some may believe that high oil prices can bring benefits, the head of state emphasized: "Yes, that is true. But at the same time, many of the countries with rich oil reserves invest their funds in treasury bonds. Many of them make investments in stock markets. And when the economy starts to shake, stock markets fall. And then, against the backdrop of insignificant profits from selling oil that has risen in price, we lose funds from our capital investments."
