The International Association of Judges, which unites national associations of judges from nearly 100 countries, has since its establishment become an important institution that has come forward with significant initiatives to protect the independence of judges, strengthen the rule of law, and improve the quality and effectiveness of justice.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this is stated in the address of President Ilham Aliyev to the participants of the 67th annual meeting of the International Association of Judges.
"Today, the International Association of Judges also serves as a platform for international dialogue and cooperation aimed at improving the judicial system, which is one of the main pillars of the rule of law," the head of state's address notes.
