President participated in the opening of a barley processing plant in Imishli

On October 28, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev participated in the opening of the barley processing enterprise of Limited Liability Company (LLC) Promalt in Imishli.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the enterprise will produce malt - a product obtained as a result of the process of preparing barley, which is considered the main raw material in beer production, for fermentation. The enterprise, equipped with equipment developed based on modern technologies by the Swiss company Bühler GmbH, with a fully automated processing process, will produce 11,000 tons of barley per year.

The investment value of the enterprise is 33.2 million manats.

It should be noted that the project, implemented in partnership with the Azerbaijan Business Development Fund under the Ministry of Economy, LLC "Azerseker" and LLC Azersun Holding, is supported by tax and customs benefits within the framework of the state investment incentive mechanism. The enterprise, which also supplies raw materials to the Carlsberg Azerbaijan brewery, is the first modern production facility in the South Caucasus specializing in the processing of brewing barley malt. In addition to strengthening agro-industrial integration in the region, the project is of great importance in terms of technological modernization, sustainable supply of raw materials to the domestic market, and localization of production. 47 people will be provided with jobs here.
