President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs visited the Heydar Aliyev Center

President of the Republic of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, visited the Heydar Aliyev Center on April 23.

As reported by AZERTAC, the guest was provided with information about the Heydar Aliyev Center building, recognized as one of the unique gems of world architecture.

It was noted that the Center's activities are aimed at the in-depth study and research of the statehood philosophy of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, the ideology of Azerbaijanism, and the great leader's legacy.

The Heydar Aliyev Museum located here virtually presents various aspects of the great leader's activity concept both during the Soviet period and during the years of our country's independence.

President Edgars Rinkēvičs first viewed the automobiles that were in the official use of the great leader during the periods of his leadership of Azerbaijan - from 1969 to 2003.

The exhibits, photographs, and multimedia hall reflecting various periods of the activity concept carried out by the national leader both during the Soviet era and during the years of independence generated great interest from the guest.

Edgars Rinkēvičs, who familiarized himself with the "Masterpieces of Azerbaijan" exhibition, was informed that unique exhibits related to the inexhaustible natural riches, centuries-old history, and cultural heritage of our country are displayed here. It was noted that rare examples of ancient crafts are presented here, including those of the Azerbaijani school of carpet weaving, and our ancient musical instruments are presented in their original form - with audio accompaniment. It was emphasized that visitors to the exhibition, which displays Azerbaijani national costumes and ancient coins, can also see sacred books in various languages here.

Having also familiarized himself with the classic automobile exhibition, President of the Republic of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs then left an entry in the memorial book.
