President of Azerbaijan: Over the past 20 years, our generating capacity has nearly doubled

As a result of the work carried out in recent years, we have been able to significantly increase our energy generating capacities. Over the past 20 years, our generating capacities have nearly doubled and today amount to 10,000 MW.

President Ilham Aliyev stated this at a meeting dedicated to the unified action plan titled "New Digital Architecture of Azerbaijan".

"New power plants - gas, hydroelectric, solar, wind - define today's realities of Azerbaijan. Currently, we have at least 2,000 MW of unused generating capacity, which is the main condition for digitalization, artificial intelligence, and the creation of data centers," the head of state added.
