Our contribution to global energy security will certainly increase.

As reported by AZERTAC, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev stated this in his speech at the official opening ceremony of the XXXI Baku Energy Forum.

Noting that thanks to a sound energy policy we can now invest outside Azerbaijan, the head of state emphasized: "Thirty years ago, we were attracting investors. Now we are directing our investments abroad. Today, our State Oil Company SOCAR is investing in countries of the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia, and the geography will expand."
