President of Azerbaijan: Diversification of the economy has already become a reality

In Azerbaijan, we have made every effort to transform the country from a purely oil and gas dependent nation into one that can take pride in the process of diversifying its economy.

As reported by AZERTAC, this was stated by President Ilham Aliyev in his speech at the Azerbaijan-Latvia business forum held on April 22 in Baku.

"In the structure of our GDP, you can see rapid growth over the last 4-5 years. The share of the non-oil industry in Azerbaijan's GDP has grown from 50% to over 70%, and this growth continues. This means that economic diversification has already become a reality," the head of state emphasized.
