President of Azerbaijan congratulated the King of Spain

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev sent a congratulatory letter to King Felipe VI of Spain.

As reported by AZERTAC, the message states:

"Your Majesty,

On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I cordially congratulate You and, through You, your entire nation on the magnificent victory of the Spanish national football team at the 2026 FIFA World Cup and its winning the world champion title for the second time.

I extend the most sincere congratulations to the Spanish football players who, having demonstrated outstanding skill, great determination, and unwavering will throughout the World Cup matches, gave their fans unforgettable moments and boundless joy, and I wish them continued success."
