President of Azerbaijan appointed chairpersons of several courts

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an order on certain issues related to the appointment of chairpersons of appellate courts, chairperson of judicial panels, chairpersons and judges of courts of first instance.

As reported by AZERTAJ, the order states:

"Taking into account the proposals of the Judicial-Legal Council, and guided by clauses 9 and 32 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I hereby decree:

1. In accordance with Article 94 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Courts and Judges",

regarding appellate courts:

1.1. To appoint the following judges as chairpersons of appellate courts:

Akberov Mubariz Dosmamed oglu - as Chairperson of the Baku Appellate Court

Pashayev Tofig Temir oglu - as Chairperson of the Sumgayit Appellate Court

Guliyev Nuru Nadir oglu - as Chairperson of the Sheki Appellate Court;

Abdullayev Veli Asker oglu - as Chairperson of the Shirvan Appellate Court;

regarding courts for serious crimes:

1.2. To appoint Rashad Shamshir oglu Aliyev as Chairperson of the Sumgayit Court for Serious Crimes;

1.3. To appoint Rafail Eyyub oglu Aliyev as Chairperson of the Sheki Court for Serious Crimes.

2. In accordance with Article 94 and part two of Article 97 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Courts and Judges",

regarding appellate courts:

2.1. To appoint Fikret Jilingir oglu Huseynov as Chairperson of the Administrative Panel of the Shirvan Appellate Court;

regarding courts for serious crimes:

2.2. To relieve Zaur Arif oglu Hajiyev of the position of judge of the Baku Military Court and appoint him as judge of the Baku Court for Serious Crimes;

2.3. To relieve Gunel Kamil gyzy Samedova of the position of judge of the Baku Military Court and appoint her as judge of the Baku Court for Serious Crimes;

2.4. To relieve Azer Ramiz oglu Tagiyev of the position of judge of the Sabail District Court of Baku city and appoint him as judge of the Sumgayit Court for Serious Crimes;

regarding military courts:

2.5. To relieve Taleh Mukhamedali oglu Mustafayev of the position of judge of the Goranboy District Court and appoint him as judge of the Ganja Military Court;

regarding commercial courts:

2.6. To relieve Gunduz Ahmed oglu Shirinov of the position of judge and chairperson of the Samukh District Court and appoint him as judge and chairperson of the Ganja Commercial Court;

regarding district courts of Baku city:

2.7. To appoint Vahid Nariman oglu Sadygov as judge and chairperson of the Khatai District Court of Baku city;

regarding district (city) courts:

2.8. To relieve Tarlan Vagif oglu Nusratov of the position of judge and chairperson of the Jabrayil District Court and appoint him as judge and chairperson of the Khankendi City Court;

2.9. To relieve Shahriyar Ibrahim oglu Aliyev of the position of judge of the Khatai District Court of Baku city and appoint him as judge and chairperson of the Kurdamir District Court;

2.10. To appoint Nural Turab oglu Aliyev as judge and chairperson of the Samukh District Court.

3. This order shall enter into force on the date of signing."
