President of Azerbaijan and Sultan of Brunei exchanged letters

The Sultan of Brunei Darussalam Haji Hassanal Bolkiah sent a letter to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of the anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the message states:

"Peace be upon you, the mercy of Allah and His blessings.

Your Excellency.

It is with great pleasure that I convey to Your Excellency my sincere congratulations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Over the past thirty years, sincere and strong friendly relations based on mutual respect, mutual understanding, and shared values have formed between our countries. I am confident that in the coming years these close ties will strengthen even further.

I also look forward to our countries working together to explore new opportunities for cooperation, particularly within the framework of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Non-Aligned Movement. Our joint efforts in these important structures reflect a shared commitment to further strengthening peace, harmony, and sustainable development for the benefit of the two peoples and the global community.

As we mark this significant occasion, may Almighty Allah grant Your Excellency good health, happiness, and continued success, and may the people of Azerbaijan enjoy lasting peace, progress, and prosperity.

The head of the Azerbaijani state also sent a congratulatory letter to the Sultan of Brunei. It states:

"Your Majesty,

On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I extend to you and through you to all your people sincere congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Brunei Darussalam.

The friendly relations that have developed between our countries over the past thirty years have opened up favorable opportunities for the development of bilateral cooperation in a number of areas of mutual interest.

We are committed to expanding interstate relations with Brunei Darussalam and enriching our cooperation with new content.
