As reported by AZERTAJ, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev stated this on January 5 in an interview with local TV channels.

"I hope that this understanding will come to those who are still at war today - that war is the worst thing that can happen to a country and to a person, I say this with complete responsibility. It is the worst thing. The best thing is peace. But in order to have peace, you need to be strong, so we will continue to work in this direction," the head of state noted.
