President Ilham Aliyev participated in the opening of the Ganja Memorial Complex

On September 27, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev participated in the opening of the Ganja bus depot of BakuBus LLC.
As reported by AZERTAG, the Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev informed the head of state about the conditions created at the bus depot.
Construction of the 300-capacity bus depot began in January of this year. The park, with a total area of 10 hectares, houses technical inspection points and repair bays, a fuel facility with an automated accounting system, and a bus washing complex with a capacity of 60 buses per hour. The creation of the bus depot has provided jobs for 675 people, of whom 553 are drivers and 122 are administrative and technical staff.
BakuBus LLC will operate in Ganja on 18 existing and 2 new routes. The city has received 280 buses that meet the high EURO6 environmental standard. Of these, 45 have a capacity of 54 passengers, 186 have a capacity of 63 passengers, and 49 have a capacity of 102 passengers.
The implementation of this project plays a very important role, primarily from the perspective of modernizing the passenger transport infrastructure in Ganja - the largest city in the republic after the capital Baku. This allows passengers to reach their destination comfortably and safely, making a major contribution to updating the city's transport fleet. The role of such projects is also important in terms of creating new jobs.
As a result of extensive analysis and research conducted in the city of Ganja, the route network was reorganized. Optimization of 32 existing route lines was carried out, and operations were defined for 22 route lines.
One of the important innovations is the application of advanced digital technologies in public transport. Fares on all buses operating in Ganja can be paid through the CityCard cashless payment system, any bank cards, as well as mobile payment systems.
As part of the optimization of the passenger transportation system, a Transport Exchange Point was created in front of the railway station, where interaction between railway and automobile transport is provided.
34 modern parking pavilions have been installed in areas with high traffic intensity and population density.
To improve road infrastructure, the asphalt covering of 97 streets has been renewed, and road markings have been applied on roads with a length of 128 km. Based on the analysis conducted, suitable places for laying micro-mobility lanes have been established.
Work has also been done to determine taxi call points, with 10 locations designated for taxi stands.
All this is an indicator of the work carried out by the state under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev to modernize districts, improve the level of services provided to the population, and, in general, ensure the sustainability of the country's regional socio-economic development.
