President Ilham Aliyev participated in the opening of the AZWOOL mineral rock wool production plant## Responses to this message

The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev participated in the opening of the AZWOOL mineral rock wool production plant of "Matanat-A" company in the Garadagh district of Baku.

As reported by BAKU.WS, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of "Matanat-A" company Elkhan Bashirov informed the head of state about the plant's activities.

First, President Ilham Aliyev was provided with information about "Matanat-A" company, established in 2000. The company, which has been operating in the construction materials production sector for 25 years, includes plants for the production of dry construction mixtures "Matanat-A", for the production of drywall and gypsum-based products AĞDAĞ, for the production of lime, equipment and machinery AZERLİME, and the ELBERG machine-building plant. In total, about 1,000 jobs have been created at the company's enterprises.

The AZWOOL mineral wool production plant is located on a territory of 10 hectares. The facility is equipped with modern equipment manufactured in the USA, Germany, and Turkey. The annual production capacity of the plant is 1.5 million cubic meters of mineral rock wool. Products are manufactured mainly from local raw materials.

The investment value of the mineral rock wool production plant is 43 million manats. The Azerbaijan Entrepreneurship Development Fund under the Ministry of Economy allocated a concessional loan of 10 million manats for the project implementation. In addition, based on the investment promotion document, the enterprise was provided with benefits amounting to about 4 million manats for the import of machinery, technological equipment, and installations. The plant has created 180 jobs.

Environmentally friendly mineral rock wool used in the construction sector not only provides thermal and sound insulation but also allows for energy savings. Mineral rock wool is one of the local products with competitive advantages. It is in high demand in both domestic and foreign markets. The opening of the plant will contribute to the development of local production, meeting the needs of the domestic market, and increasing the competitiveness of Azerbaijani products in the foreign market. The enterprise will meet the needs of our country for mineral rock wool, significantly reducing dependence on imports. The products manufactured here will also be exported to Georgia, CIS countries, and the Middle East.

President Ilham Aliyev also familiarized himself with the products manufactured at the enterprises of "Matanat-A" company. It was reported that the company's plants produce over 3,000 types of products under more than 200 trademarks. In addition to satisfying domestic demand, the products are exported to Kazakhstan, Georgia, Iraq, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and other foreign countries under the Made in Azerbaijan brand.

It should be noted that thanks to the work on diversification and development of the non-oil sector carried out under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, new production facilities are being created in our country. All this also makes a great contribution to opening new jobs and increasing employment of the population.
