President Ilham Aliyev: Our main task is to connect the liberated regions

Our main task is to connect the liberated regions. If we connect this region with other regions of Azerbaijan - with the direction of Ganja - West through Kelbajar, Terter - Barda - Baku, Fizuli - Bilasuvar - South, then communication in the country will be more reliable, travel time will be reduced.

As reported by AZERTAJ, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev stated this on January 5 in an interview with local TV channels.

Noting that the use of railways, roads, and in the future, air communications will strengthen the migration of the population within the country, the head of state said: "It is not necessary for everyone to come to Baku. On the contrary, today, for example, people come to the city of Khankendi from Baku, Nakhchivan, and other places. Khankendi and Agdam will become the main cities of the liberated regions."

The President of Azerbaijan emphasized that 70 thousand people are already living in the liberated territories: "By the end of this year, perhaps 120, 130, 140 thousand people will live and work there."
