President Ilham Aliyev met with Bulgarian counterpart in Munich
On February 14, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met in Munich with President of Bulgaria Iliana Yotova.
As reported by AZERTAC, emphasizing that she had participated in the Intercultural Dialogue Forum in Azerbaijan, the President of Bulgaria said that she became closely acquainted with Azerbaijani culture, noting that the customs and traditions of the Novruz holiday and mugham made a deep impression on her.
Iliana Yotova also expressed gratitude for the Heydar Aliyev Foundation's support in the restoration of the "Trapezitsa" Architectural and Museum Reserve in Bulgaria.
She thanked President Ilham Aliyev for his attention to the teaching of the Bulgarian language in higher educational institutions of Azerbaijan and to Bulgarian culture.
During the conversation, satisfaction was expressed regarding the signing several days ago of a Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria, and the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo on the creation and reconstruction of "Shusha" Park in the city of Veliko Tarnovo.
Issues of cooperation between our countries in the spheres of energy, electricity export, agriculture, tourism, and other areas, as well as within the framework of international organizations, were discussed.
Bulgaria's support for the development of relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union was highly appreciated.
It was emphasized that Bulgaria will be represented at a high level at the World Urban Forum, which will be held in Azerbaijan in May of this year.
