President Ilham Aliyev met in Munich with the Chairman of the Bundestag Foreign Affairs Committee
On February 14, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met in Munich with Chairman of the Bundestag Foreign Affairs Committee Armin Laschet.
As reported by AZERTAJ, during the conversation, the meetings between the head of our state and Armin Laschet were noted with satisfaction.
Armin Laschet congratulated the head of state on the successes achieved in Washington in advancing the peace agenda between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Thanking for the congratulations, President Ilham Aliyev said that achieving peace is of great importance for the development of the entire region.
At the meeting, Azerbaijan's initiatives to ensure regional peace and cooperation were discussed.
It was emphasized that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Germany are developing in various directions, including in the political, trade-economic, energy, and other spheres.
It was noted that Azerbaijan plays an important role in ensuring Europe's energy security, and views were exchanged on expanding inter-parliamentary cooperation and prospects for developing bilateral relations.
The meeting also emphasized Azerbaijan's role in interreligious and intercultural dialogue, and the importance of sharing this experience at the international level was noted.
