President Ilham Aliyev met in Davos with European Union Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos
On January 21, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met in Davos with the European Union Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos.
As reported by AZERTAG, during the conversation, they noted with satisfaction Marta Kos's visit to Azerbaijan last year, including to Karabakh, and her meeting with the head of our state. Marta Kos said that the construction and restoration work being carried out in the territories liberated from occupation made a deep impression on her.
At the meeting, views were exchanged on the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the advancement of the peace agenda. They also discussed issues of cooperation in the areas of energy, regional transport communications, humanitarian demining and other spheres, and touched upon our country's contribution to Europe's energy security.
Marta Kos noted that the European Union is ready to provide support for Azerbaijan's activities in the field of humanitarian demining, as well as projects for the restoration of the railway line in Nakhchivan.
During the conversation, it was emphasized that there are great prospects for further expansion of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union in many areas, and views were exchanged on this issue.
