President Ilham Aliyev laid the foundation of the Special Operations Center in Aghdere district

On January 13, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev laid the foundation of the Special Operations Center in Agderin district.

As reported by AZERTAG, Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov reported to the President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev.

The head of state was informed that the purpose of creating this center is to ensure the training of special forces units in terrain with various relief and weather conditions, as well as conducting activities, including exercises and courses, based on international military cooperation agreements. On the extensive territory of the center, it will be possible to conduct exercises and training sessions involving numerous personnel. Ranges will be created here for practicing shooting from small arms and large-caliber weapons, unmanned aerial vehicles including strike drones, various simulations, special operations training, driving and swimming instruction.

The center will include a headquarters, barracks, medical station, club, educational building and guest house, indoor sports complex, simulation center, outdoor sports grounds, helicopter landing pad, shooting ranges, and other necessary infrastructure.
