President Ilham Aliyev congratulated his Maldivian counterpart

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev sent a congratulatory letter to the President of the Republic of Maldives Mohamed Muizzu on the occasion of the national holiday of the republic - Independence Day.

As Azertag reports, the congratulation states:

"Dear Mr. President,

On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I sincerely congratulate you and all your people on the national holiday - Independence Day of the Republic of Maldives.

We are pleased that relations between Azerbaijan and the Maldives have recently been developing on an upward trajectory and are being filled with new content. Your visit to Azerbaijan last year to participate in COP29 opened a new page in the history of bilateral relations.

I am confident that we will continue to successfully pursue joint efforts to strengthen friendly relations and expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

On this festive day, I express my best wishes to you and wish the friendly people of the Maldives constant well-being and prosperity".
