President Ilham Aliyev commented on the gas crisis between Russia and the European Union

President Ilham Aliyev shared his opinion on the gas crisis between Russia and the European Union at a meeting with participants of the III Shusha Global Media Forum.
As reported by AZERTAJ, the head of state noted in this regard: "They (the European Union - ed.) intend to abandon Russian gas. We have never taken this into account. We have never tried to compete with Russia, even when it supplied 150 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe. We have never offered our services as an alternative to Russian gas supplies. We act exclusively within the framework of commercial interests. Our energy policy has been business-oriented. We have never politicized it and never reduced the volume of gas supplies."
