President: Construction of the Zangezur corridor on the territory of Azerbaijan is nearing completion

I am convinced that the agreements reached in Washington this August on connecting the main part of Azerbaijan with its Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic will contribute to expanding transit opportunities for international transportation. The construction of the Zangezur corridor on the territory of Azerbaijan is nearing completion.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by President Ilham Aliyev, speaking at the 7th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian States in Tashkent.

The head of state noted that the railway with a capacity of 15 million tons at the initial stage will become an important artery of the Middle Corridor.
