President: Azerbaijan has been making efforts to develop the D-8 institution since joining the family

Azerbaijan, since joining the D-8 family, has been making efforts to develop this institution. This is evident not only in the sphere of economic cooperation, but also in cultural, social, and humanitarian collaboration.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated in the address of Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev to the participants of the D-8 Media Forum on the topic "Promoting Dialogue, Cooperation, and Regional Solidarity".

"In nearly a year since Azerbaijan's admission to D-8, on our country's initiative, the first meeting of NGOs from D-8 countries was organized in Baku, and within the framework of D-8 Week, a 'High-Level D-8 Dialogue on Climate and Urbanization' was held. Azerbaijan will continue to contribute to the further expansion of cooperation within this institution," emphasized the head of state.
