Ombudsman: Heydar Aliyev took on responsibility during a difficult period and carried out a salvational mission

Some dates are not lost in the flow of time but become part of the destiny of a nation. June 15 - National Salvation Day - is one of such historical dates when the statehood of Azerbaijan was preserved, national unity was restored, and the further path of the country's development was determined.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was stated by Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva.

She noted that National Salvation Day is not only the salvation of statehood but also the beginning of building a rule-of-law state, respecting human rights, and turning the interests of citizens into one of the main directions of state policy:

"On this memorable day, I pay deep respect to the bright memory of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev. The philosophy of statehood he defined, as well as the values based on the rule of law and respect for human dignity, continue to play an important role in the development of our country today."
