More than 3 thousand people will be resettled in Shusha in new residential complexes — OFFICIAL

"The construction of new residential complexes in Shusha is proceeding at an accelerated pace. Three-story buildings are being erected, and apartments are planned to be prepared for approximately 800–900 families. In the first-second quarter of next year, the return of former internally displaced persons will begin, and in total, more than 3,000 people are expected to move into these complexes."

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by the Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the Shusha district, Aydin Kerimov, during a conversation with journalists at the event "Urban Planning in the Post-Conflict Period: Restoring Lost Identity and Building an Integrated Future," held within the framework of the World Urban Forum (World Urban Forum 13).

He noted that social infrastructure is also expanding in Shusha simultaneously:

"A kindergarten has already started operating, and schools will be commissioned in the near future. It is planned to transfer the faculties of arts, tourism, and hospitality of Karabakh University to Shusha. This step means the permanent residence of approximately 1,500 faculty members and students in the city.

In addition, a large-scale comprehensive facility is being built in Shusha — an architecturally complex and unique project, the completion of which is expected at the beginning of next year. This facility will be open to both local residents and visitors to the city."
