More than 115 thousand people took part in the WUF13 festivals in Azerbaijan

More than 115 thousand people took part in WUF13 festivals held in various cities of Azerbaijan in the run-up to the 13th session of the World Urban Forum.

As reported to BAKU.WS by the WUF13 operating company, the events were organized to inform the public about the upcoming forum and covered nine cities across the country.

The program consisted of two parts. In the first half of the day, informational sessions dedicated to WUF13 topics were held at higher education institutions in the cities. Participants were told about the goals of the forum, the principles of sustainable urban development, and Azerbaijan's priorities in the field of urbanization. In the second half of the day, public open-air events took place.

The organizers noted that the events attracted great interest from residents of various age groups and contributed to raising public awareness about the principles of building sustainable and inclusive cities.
