Mirziyoyev: Azerbaijan serves as a strategic bridge between Central Asia and Europe
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev stated that Azerbaijan serves as a strategic bridge between Central Asia and Europe.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, Shavkat Mirziyoyev made this statement in his message today to participants of the high-level meeting "Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Europe - cooperation for common development".
According to Mirziyoyev, the forum provides a unique opportunity to present Central Asia to the world, discuss processes of consolidation and cooperation, as well as strengthening interregional connectivity.
He noted the significant potential of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, which can be utilized to a greater extent.
Mirziyoyev emphasized the active development of Azerbaijani-Uzbek relations in the spirit of mutual trust and support.
"I would like to especially note that Azerbaijan acts as a strategic bridge connecting Central Asia and Europe. We highly appreciate the readiness of Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev to participate in the development of new region-wide processes and his efforts to strengthen interaction between the South Caucasus and Central Asia. Taking this opportunity, we once again sincerely congratulate the friendly people of Azerbaijan on the tremendous historical achievement - the recent signing in Washington, with US mediation, of the trilateral Joint Declaration with Armenia," he stated.
