Minister: The process of liquidation of the "Russian House" is complete
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov commented on the news about the possibility of resuming the activities of the "Russian House" in Baku, stating that the decision to close it was final and has already been fully implemented.
As reported by BAKU.WS, the minister stated this at a year-end press conference, responding to a journalist's question about recent statements by Russian Foreign Ministry representative Mikhail Kalugin regarding the possibility of dialogue between Baku and Moscow on this issue.
Bayramov reminded that the "Russian House" operated in Azerbaijan without the necessary registration, and there were numerous violations of local legislation. He also recalled that the leadership of the structure was repeatedly notified about the need to comply with all rules and eliminate violations.
"This was the reason for the decision to close the 'Russian House'. The decision has been made and implemented. All similar structures in the country must operate strictly in accordance with the legislation of Azerbaijan. Any other arrangement is unacceptable," the minister emphasized.
He also emphasized that the latest contacts with the Russian side regarding the "Russian House" took place a few weeks ago, and at that time there were still some technical issues related to the liquidation procedure.
