Two citizens of Azerbaijan were killed and two others were injured as a result of a drone attack on the foreign cargo vessel TEDY in the Black Sea.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated in a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

According to the information, the vessel was subjected to drone attacks on September 9. Azerbaijani citizens were among the crew members.

As a result, Aslan Aliyev and Asim Gasymov were killed. Imran Novruzov and Rauf Aliyev were injured and hospitalized at the Chornomorsk city hospital in Ukraine.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan is coordinating efforts with the country's diplomatic missions and competent authorities of the respective states.

After undergoing medical examination and treatment, the injured citizens are planned to be returned to their homeland. The ministry is also taking measures to provide the necessary consular assistance and carry out procedures related to the bodies of the deceased.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

"We once again urge citizens of Azerbaijan to refrain from traveling to regions where military operations are ongoing or where the security situation remains unstable, from working in those territories, as well as from working on vehicles, including vessels, traveling along such routes," the ministry's statement said.
