Azerbaijan's embassies and consulates general located in the Middle Eastern region continue to operate in an enhanced mode given the crisis situation.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by the Head of the Press Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Aykhan Hajizade, in response to journalists' questions about the situation of our citizens amid the military escalation in the region.

"In accordance with the requests received from our citizens, appropriate support is being provided by our diplomatic missions.

According to him, one Azerbaijani citizen located in Iran was injured, and his condition is assessed as stable. He is receiving appropriate assistance and support from our diplomatic mission.

According to Hajizade, the land borders with Azerbaijan and Turkey are being used to evacuate Azerbaijani citizens wishing to leave Iran. He said that so far 30 of our citizens have crossed the Azerbaijani border.

"Overall, taking into account that the airspace in the region is closed, evacuation of citizens is not envisaged at the moment.

We ask our citizens currently in the region to closely monitor the security situation, follow the instructions and recommendations of local authorities, stay away from crowded places, and strengthen personal security measures," A. Hajizade added.
