First Vice President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva shared photos on her Instagram account of the meeting between President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his American counterpart Donald Trump in Washington.
The publication states:
"Today in Washington, the President of Azerbaijan, the President of the United States of America, and the Prime Minister of Armenia signed a Joint Declaration, and by initialing a peace agreement, took an important step towards concluding a final peace agreement.
I congratulate our people on this historic event! May there always be peace! May Allah rest the souls of our heroic sons who gave their lives for the liberation of our lands from occupation! May the Almighty protect our native Azerbaijan!"
