Leyla Aliyeva participated in the "Human Fraternity Meeting" event in Abu Dhabi

On February 3, an event called "Human Fraternity Majlis" was held at the Zayed National Museum in Abu Dhabi.

As reported by BAKU.WS, first a video address by the Minister of Tolerance of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Nahyan Mubarak Al Nahyan, was shown.

Then the Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders, Mohammed Abdel Salam, and the Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirziyoyeva, spoke.

Cardinal George Koovakad read a letter from Pope Leo XIV addressed to the participants of the event.

A video about the "Zayed Award for Human Fraternity" was shown.

Then a panel session titled "Women's Leadership - The Foundation of Human Fraternity" took place. It featured speeches by former President of Indonesia and member of the Zayed Award jury Megawati Sukarnoputri, First Lady of Lebanon Nejmeh Aoun, and First Lady of Colombia Veronica Alcocer Garcia.

Speaking at the panel session, Leyla Aliyeva noted that in Azerbaijan, respect for different cultures, religions and traditions has always been an integral part of the way of life. It was noted that children in Azerbaijan grow up in a friendly environment, are raised in the spirit of high family values, which further shapes them as strong personalities. Speaking about the activities of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Leyla Aliyeva drew attention to the fact that the Foundation has built or completely renovated many schools not only in Azerbaijan, but also in countries such as Pakistan, Georgia, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Emphasizing the need for inevitable changes in the education system in the context of the development of new technologies, Leyla Aliyeva said that this process has already begun.

Leyla Aliyeva noted that both parents and teachers should pay more attention to children, treat them with respect and be able to listen to them. Touching upon the importance of protecting children from the negative influence of social networks, Leyla Aliyeva reported that currently in Azerbaijan, based on international experience, ways to protect minors from harmful information are being studied.

First Lady of Pakistan Asifa Bhutto Zardari also spoke at the event.
