Leyla Aliyeva met with athletes at the rowing base in Mingachevir

Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Association Leyla Aliyeva visited the rowing base during her trip to the city of Mingachevir.

As reported by BAKU.WS, Leyla Aliyeva was provided with detailed information about the activities of the "Kur" Olympic Training and Sports Center located on the Kura River, the infrastructure created there, the process of athletes' training, and the achievements. It was noted that the "Kur" Olympic Training and Sports Center is one of the unique rowing bases in Europe and across the CIS space.

The center functions as one of the main training bases for the national rowing team. Conditions that meet modern standards have been created here for professional training of athletes of different age groups, with necessary infrastructure, sports equipment, and systems that meet safety requirements.

During the meeting, they also discussed work being done to attract young people to a healthy lifestyle, to more widely popularize rowing, and to strengthen the sports infrastructure in the region. Leyla Aliyeva observed the rowing training process and had a casual conversation with the athletes.
