Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva participated in the opening of historical and architectural monuments in Sheki after their restoration

Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Association Leyla Aliyeva and head of the Baku Media Center Arzu Aliyeva participated in the reopening of a number of restored historical and architectural monuments located on the territory of the "Yukhari Bash" State Historical-Architectural Reserve in Sheki.

As reported by BAKU.WS, Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva familiarized themselves with the conditions created at the Sheki Museum of History and Local Lore, the Shebeke Workshop and the Training Center. It was noted that the restoration and conservation works carried out serve to preserve the historical heritage, ancient craft traditions of Sheki, as well as to further enhance the tourism potential of the city.

At the Sheki Museum of History and Local Lore, an inspection was conducted of exhibits reflecting the history, culture, ethnography, traditional crafts and culinary heritage of the region. The museum holds a total of more than three thousand exhibits of material and cultural value, 1,826 of which are displayed in the exhibition halls.

It was noted that restoration and conservation works on other historical and architectural monuments on the territory of the "Yukhari Bash" State Historical-Architectural Reserve will continue in stages.

During the visit, the Shebeke Workshop and Training Center were inspected. It was noted that an exhibition salon dedicated to the art of shebeke, a workshop and training rooms have been established here. Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva met with the renowned shebeke master Tofig Rasulov and his students and participated in the process of creating shebeke samples. They expressed their gratitude to Tofig Rasulov for his work in preserving this ancient art form of Azerbaijan and passing it on to future generations, and wished the master and his students success.

Afterwards, Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva participated in the preparation of sweets and also visited the ABAD Ceramics Center.
