Jeyhun Bayramov received a delegation of the Arab Parliament
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov received a delegation headed by President of the Arab Parliament Mohammed Ahmed Al-Yamahi.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), during the meeting the parties discussed a wide range of issues: Azerbaijan's relations with Arab countries, as well as with the League of Arab States and the Arab Parliament in general, regional security in the Middle East and the South Caucasus, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, as well as the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
It was emphasized that the development of ties with Muslim countries, including Arab countries, is one of the priority directions of the republic's foreign policy. It was noted that Azerbaijan consistently makes efforts to ensure stability, security and peace in the region, and also advocates for intensifying work on preventing conflicts and wars.
The parties expressed solidarity regarding the importance of efforts to resolve the situation in the Gaza Strip. In the context of the Palestinian issue, the Azerbaijani side reaffirmed its support for the "two-state" principle and a solution in accordance with the norms and principles of international law, as well as relevant UN Security Council resolutions.

In addition, the significance of mediation efforts undertaken by Azerbaijan in recent years was noted.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed the other side in detail about the past conflict, the Azerbaijani-Armenian peace process, as well as the restoration and reconstruction work being carried out in the territories liberated from occupation in the post-conflict period.
During the meeting, there was also an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.
