Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received representatives of the US Certified Trade Mission for the Middle Corridor, who are visiting the country.

"During the meeting, the historical significance of the discussions held on August 8 of this year in Washington with the participation of the presidents of Azerbaijan and the United States and the Prime Minister of Armenia, as well as the signed documents, was noted. It was emphasized that these agreements not only contribute to regional peace and progress but also open up great prospects for Azerbaijani-American relations," the information from the foreign policy department states.

During the meeting, the importance of the project that will ensure unhindered communication between the western regions of Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic ("Trump Route" - TRIPP) was emphasized.

Azerbaijan's efforts over the past decades to develop the Middle Corridor, implemented through specific projects - the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, the Baku International Sea Trade Port, and the Alat Free Economic Zone - were noted.

Azerbaijan's strategic ties with partner countries east of the Caspian along the Middle Corridor, as well as with friendly and brotherly states of Central Asia, were also emphasized.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting also noted Azerbaijan's role in ensuring Europe's energy security over many years. In this context, it was emphasized that the number of countries receiving Azerbaijani natural gas has reached 14.

Additionally, Azerbaijan's active work with partner countries on the development and transfer of renewable energy resources to Europe was indicated. Special attention was paid to projects such as the construction of an underwater energy cable across the Black Sea.

There was also an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.
