Jeyhun Bayramov discussed the escalation in the Middle East with the UK Foreign Secretary

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov held a telephone conversation with the United Kingdom's Minister of State for Europe, North America and Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

The main topic of the conversation was the escalating military situation in the Middle East.

The British side expressed serious concern over the drone attack by Iran and emphasized the unacceptability of threats directed against civilian infrastructure and the security of Azerbaijan's population.

Bayramov noted that such actions contribute to a further increase in tensions in the region and stressed that Baku is taking all necessary measures to ensure the country's security.

The parties also exchanged views on current issues of bilateral and regional cooperation.
