Jeyhun Bayramov and Kaja Kallas discussed the escalation in the Middle East

Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov discussed the escalation of tensions in the Middle East with EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated in the announcement by Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry following the phone conversation between Bayramov and Kallas.

According to the statement, the parties in particular discussed the current security situation, expressed serious concern over the escalation, and emphasized the importance of resolving the conflict through diplomatic means.

"The significant role of Azerbaijan in the evacuation of foreign citizens from Iran, including citizens of European Union member states, was noted. The parties also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest," the Foreign Ministry added.
