Jeyhun Bayramov and Ishaq Dar discussed the agreement reached between the US and Iran
A telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and his Pakistani counterpart, Muhammad Ishaq Dar.
This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Azerbaijan.
During the telephone conversation, an exchange of views took place regarding the agreement reached on the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States and Iran.
Azerbaijan highly appreciated the important mediating role of Pakistan in the negotiation process. In particular, it was emphasized that the personal contributions of Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Muhammad Ishaq Dar, as well as Chief of the Armed Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir played a significant role in the successful conclusion of the negotiations. The contribution of other regional partners who supported the process was also noted.
The parties noted that the agreement reached contributes to reducing tensions in the region, strengthening trust, and promoting diplomatic means of settlement.
Jeyhun Bayramov expressed hope that further negotiations toward reaching a comprehensive agreement would contribute to ensuring sustainable peace, security, and stability.
During the telephone conversation, an exchange of views also took place on bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
