Jeyhun Bayramov and Abbas Araghchi discussed the current situation in the region
A telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi.

During the telephone conversation, the parties exchanged views on the current security situation in the region and the ceasefire that had been achieved.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov welcomed the announced ceasefire. The importance of ensuring the ceasefire regime for reducing tensions, successfully completing negotiations, and establishing stability was emphasized.
The role of mediating countries in achieving the ceasefire was noted, particularly that of friendly and brotherly Pakistan.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stressed the importance of maintaining the ceasefire regime and pointed to the need to resolve the situation through diplomatic means, expressing hope that the upcoming negotiations in Islamabad would be effective and productive.
He noted that Azerbaijan is always ready to support initiatives aimed at strengthening sustainable peace, security, and cooperation in the region.
The ministers also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
