Jamil Hasanli tried to flee Azerbaijan
The chairman of the National Council, former deputy Jamil Hasanli attempted to flee Azerbaijan.
As reported by BAKU.WS, according to information from Oxu.Az, he himself stated on social media that he allegedly planned to travel to Dubai today with his wife "in connection with his daughter's family event." However, at the airport, Hasanli learned that a travel restriction had been imposed on him, preventing him from leaving the country.
Jamil Hasanli's wife managed to leave the country.
Notably, yesterday, the homes of National Council member and chairman of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA) Ali Karimli and PFPA presidium member Mamed Ibrahim were searched, after which they were interrogated by the State Security Service (SSS).
According to information, this process is related to the criminal case against Ramiz Mehtiyev, which is being investigated by the SSS.
Other information indicates that yesterday evening, another National Council member, Gultekin Hajibeyli, was detained in Turkey and taken to the Arnavutköy migration point in Istanbul for deportation to Azerbaijan.
A logical question arises: what "urgent family event" in Dubai was Jamil Hasanli rushing to attend during the hours when these events were unfolding? It is obvious that he intended to hastily leave the country to avoid investigation.
It is worth recalling that some time ago, information appeared in the media that G. Hajibeyli had also fled the country. Although she denied this information, it soon became clear that her "denial" was made precisely from Turkey.
It is also known that during the search of PFPA chairman Ali Karimli's home, materials related to the so-called "Union of Billionaires," an initial unpublished version of a letter written by Mehtiyev, and other documents were discovered.
It is worth noting that the identities of the operatives in Azerbaijan connected to Rustam Ibrahimbekov, who was at one time a candidate from the "Union of Billionaires" in Russia, are no secret to anyone.
