Italian diplomats evacuated from Iran through the territory of Azerbaijan

The evacuation of staff from Italy's diplomatic mission in Iran has been carried out through the territory of Azerbaijan.

As reported by Azertag, approximately 45 staff members of Italy's diplomatic mission in Iran crossed the state border through the "Astara" checkpoint and safely arrived on the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The evacuation process was carried out with document verification, registration, and the completion of all necessary procedures.

Appropriate measures were taken at the border crossing point to ensure a safe passage. After the completion of registration procedures, the evacuated individuals were safely directed to their destinations.

It is noted that the evacuation process at the "Astara" state border checkpoint continues on an uninterrupted basis, and crossings are carried out in accordance with established procedures under the supervision of the relevant state agencies.
