Iranian Drones Attacked Nakhchivan: Embassy in Baku Remains Silent

Against the backdrop of alarming reports about another escalation in the region, a film crew from the Baku TV channel promptly arrived at the building of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Azerbaijan. The purpose of the journalists' visit was an attempt to obtain official clarifications regarding the incident involving the violation of airspace and a drone attack on Nakhchivan.

However, despite the seriousness of the accusations being made and the international practice of responding to such crisis situations, the diplomatic mission chose a tactic of complete disregard. Neither the ambassador, nor the press secretary, nor other authorized officials of the diplomatic mission came out to the press to assess what had happened or to clarify Tehran's position. Such "radio silence" during moments of acute crises is often interpreted by experts as a lack of coherent arguments or an attempt to evade responsibility.
