President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has turned Baku into a city where everyone talks about the future.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was stated by President of Bulgaria Iliana Yotova in her speech at the WUF13 Leaders Summit in Baku.

She thanked the Azerbaijani leader for the high level of organization of the event.

"President Ilham Aliyev has turned Baku into a place where everyone talks about the future. Currently, 2.8 billion people in the world lack housing. To solve the problem, in the next decade one house needs to be built every second. This is not a question of the market, but of justice," Yotova said.

She emphasized that when a city loses the ability to provide people with housing, it loses the people themselves. A modern city is a space where no one feels excluded.

"The problems are the same, so the solutions must be the same. Investments must be directed at people. Smart urban systems only make sense when they serve people," the Bulgarian president concluded.
