Ilham Aliyev: We are grateful to the US President for his desire to help Azerbaijan and Armenia reach an agreement

We are very grateful to US President Donald Trump for his desire to help Azerbaijan and Armenia finally reach an agreement.

As AZERTAJ reports, President Ilham Aliyev stated this while speaking at the III Shusha Global Media Forum.

"Despite the fact that he (the US president - ed.) is busy with more global issues of international security, he also keeps the situation in the South Caucasus in his field of vision. We in Azerbaijan, of course, are glad that he won, for many reasons. And, naturally, we wish him to finish the job, especially regarding the Washington swamp - to drain it completely," the head of state noted.
