Ilham Aliyev: Throughout history, Azerbaijan has been a unique place of fusion of different civilizations

Throughout history, Azerbaijan has been a unique place of convergence for various civilizations, where cultures, religions, and traditions were formed under mutual influence.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this is stated in the address of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the participants of the 4th meeting of the Asian Cultural Council of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties.

The head of state emphasized that the coexistence of representatives of all religions and ethnic groups in conditions of mutual respect, trust, and peace has played an important role in the socio-political development of our multinational and multi-confessional country.

"Preserving the traditions of multiculturalism and tolerance is an integral part of the socio-cultural foundations of Azerbaijani society and one of the main directions of state policy," - noted in the address of President Ilham Aliyev.
