Ilham Aliyev: The South Caucasus region, formerly a zone of long-standing conflicts, is transforming into a zone of peace

A little over a year ago, Azerbaijan and Armenia put an end to a conflict that had lasted more than 30 years by initialing the text of a peace agreement.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by President Ilham Aliyev, speaking at a meeting in the "SCO plus" format.

The head of state noted that thereby the South Caucasus region, which had been a zone of long-standing conflicts, is transforming into a zone of peace.
