Ilham Aliyev: The only reliable country that can geographically connect Central Asia with the West is Azerbaijan

Today, the Central Asian-Azerbaijani union and the transformation of C5 into C6 are of great importance not only for our region but also for the entire world. Because connectivity, transport, and logistics are of great importance for many leading international actors today, and here Azerbaijan is the only reliable country that can geographically connect Central Asia with the West.

As reported by AZERTAG, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev stated this on January 5 in an interview with local TV channels.

"Of course, from a geographical point of view, other routes can also be used. But taking into account the existing geopolitical situation, we can say with full confidence that alternative routes cannot be considered acceptable for the West. Therefore, our role, that is, the role of a living bridge and reliable partner, a country already capable of implementing large projects, will naturally increase, and we see this in practical life," emphasized the head of state.
