The commonality of our historical and ethnic roots, our languages unite us as one family.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev during his speech at the 12th summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).

Noting the historical significance of the first Turkological Congress organized in Baku in 1926, the head of state proposed to solemnly celebrate the 100th anniversary of the first congress next year within the framework of the OTS.
